There are some weddings that feel instantly magical, and this beautiful celebration at Upwaltham Barns was one of those days. Surrounded by rolling hills, soft sunlight and the prettiest field of daisies, it was the perfect setting for a relaxed summer wedding, full of joy from the very start.

The morning was wonderfully calm and filled with laughter as the bride got ready with her bridesmaids. She wanted to feel like the best version of herself - nothing heavy, nothing overly styled - just soft, romantic hair and natural, glowing makeup that suited the season and the setting. Her off the shoulder gown had the dreamiest silhouette, so everything about her look needed to complement that effortless elegance.

For her makeup, we kept the skin fresh and radiant, letting her natural beauty shine through. A light, dewy base, a hint of rosy colour and subtle definition around her eyes was all she needed. A soft, natural lip tied everything together. It was the kind of bridal makeup that looks beautiful in person and photographs like a dream.

Her hair was styled with the same gentle, romantic feel. We created soft waves through the lengths and pinned back sections in to a 'posh pony' so her face was framed delicately, without anything feeling too structured. Some of the photos of her veil floating behind her are absolutely breathtaking.

Her bridesmaids wore the prettiest soft blue dresses, each carrying bouquets of white and blue flowers that tied the whole colour palette together perfectly. Their hair was relaxed and feminine too, complementing the bride perfectly.

The light that afternoon was soft and golden, spilling across the hills and creating the most romantic backdrop for photos. The images of the bride and groom walking hand in hand through the daisies are some of my favourites - they capture the whole spirit of the day so perfectly: gentle, joyful and full of love.

It was such a pleasure to be part of this wedding morning and to help the bride feel confident, relaxed and completely herself. Upwaltham Barns is a special place to get married, and her whole look suited it so beautifully.
