A Romantic Southlands Barn Wedding: Megan’s Bridal Hair & Makeup

There’s something particularly lovely about a barn wedding, and Southlands Barn near Pulborough was such a gorgeous setting for Megan’s wedding day.

Megan chose a really soft, romantic look, with hair and makeup by our lovely Kelly. Just beautiful, glowing makeup and relaxed hair that still felt completely like her.

For her makeup, Kelly kept Megan’s skin looking fresh and luminous, with softly defined eyes, a little warmth through the cheeks and a natural lip. We always want our brides to look in the mirror and recognise themselves, just feeling like the very best version - and judging by the huge smile in these photos, we think Kelly got this one spot on!

Megan’s hair was just as pretty. Kelly created a soft half-up, half-down style, with loose curls through the lengths and twists at the back, finished with tiny floral pins. We love how it looks from behind, especially with the back of Megan’s dress. It all just works together beautifully without feeling overly styled.

And then we received the loveliest message from Megan afterwards:

“Kelly is really amazing, she made me look and feel amazing. She is such a talented woman.”

This is exactly what we want for every one of our brides. Yes, we want your hair to stay put and your makeup to last, but more than anything, we want you to feel amazing when you’re sitting in that chair on the morning of your wedding.

Southlands Barn was such a lovely backdrop too. The old beams, warm lighting and relaxed countryside feel suited Megan’s whole look perfectly.
